DurangoSong.com is the logical outgrowth of the Durango Songwriter’s Expo.
Over the past several years, with the help of our dedicated staff of volunteers, the enthusiastic involvement of top music industry professionals, and the loyal participation of our local and national songwriting community, the Durango Songwriter’s Expo has become what some industry folks are calling "the premier songwriting event in America."
Take a look at some of the elite group of music pros who attend our event annually to hear your music: Tony Ferguson, Interscope Records; Danny Kee, Warner Brothers Records Nashville; Bruce Burch, EMI Music Publishing; Marshall Altman, Columbia Records; just to name a few.
Imagine getting to meet, chat with and hear (in a most intimate setting) some of the greatest songwriters of our age: Rickie Lee Jones, Rodney Crowell, J.D. Souther, Jimmy Webb, Gary Baker, Walt Aldridge, Kostas and dozens of other top-selling tunesmiths.
That’s what the Durango Songwriter’s Expo has always been about: QUALITY SONGWRITING. Come check us out this October in Durango, Colorado!

The Durango Songwriter’s Expo, founded in 1996, is a three day event held in the Old West city of Durango, Colorado.
The Expo’s agenda is a combination of:
- music business seminars and workshops
- song listening/critique sessions
- live songwriter showcases
- a live hit-writer concert to close the event
The Expo is limited to 130 attendees who get to meet, talk with and pitch their songs to top music industry professionals and successful songwriters in a low-key, tranquil environment.
Songwriters can submit up to three original songs for review by professional publishers/producers/writers/executives. ALL songs get heard (that's one of the reasons we limit the attendance).

EXPO 2004 will be held October 7th-9th
